​ Jehovah Witnesses claim Jesus did not die on a cross but a “stake”. “the word used in the Bible for the cross is (staros) its a Greek word that means “pole or stake”. Jehovah Witnesses’ are correct about the translation, but are wrong about the time period. The Bible claims Jesus will die on a cross but the prophecies was written eight hundred years before it happened. Here are the verses in the Bible that tell you about Christ dying on the cross, in the Old Testament. Remember Jesus dies on the cross in the New Testament so this is Bible prophecy with a future prediction of Jesus’ death on the cross. Here is the old testament predicted prophecy

Isaiah 53: 5-7

But He was pierced through for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our iniquities;

The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,

And by His scourging we are healed.

All of us like sheep have gone astray,

Each of us has turned to his own way;

But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all

To fall on Him.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,

Yet He did not open His mouth;

Like a lamb that is led to slaughter ,

And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,

So He did not open His mouth.

​ Here is another verse from the Old Testament that will prove that Jesus dying on the cross was a future prophecy.

Psalm 22:16-18 (NASB)

For dogs have surrounded me;

A band of evildoers has encompassed me;

They pierced my hands and my feet.

I can count all my bones.

They look, they stare at me;

They divide my garments among them,

And for my clothing they cast lots.

​ Ask yourself do you believe in what Jesus Christ, The Son Of Man ,says or do you believe “Charles Taze Russell? a man found guilty of perjury in the Court of Law. Russell compensates for his own delusions of grandeur. The Jehovah Witnesses are what could be called a surface dweller from an academic sense. They do not value higher education they just value what the Watchtower Society tells them to value.

​ Jehovah Witnesses claim the cross is a pagan symbol. This is because the Jehovah Witnesses do not search things out like a scholar who really wants the truth. The Jehovah Witness have gaps in their theology. Scholars refer to this type of thinking as “gap theology”. The Jehovah Witnesses teach that between the time the apostles died until the time they hit the scene almost 2000 years later in 1881 The human race lost the truth and the Watchtower Society restored it for us. Then we get the real truth from the Watchtower. What a Joke!

​ According to the Jehovah Witness the world has not had the truth since 100 AD is not seen or heard again until the mid 1800s when the Jehovah Witnesses start their Watchtower Bible Society with their founder ,the infallible Charles Taze Russell. Let us remember that the Bible teaches that God will be with us till the end of time lets look at the verse from the Christian Bible.
