Left Hand Octaves

This is a relatively simple technique that involves playing two left hand notes an octave apart:

You may want to start by playing a single left hand note (the root note of the chord) and then add the octave note once you are comfortable.

Glissandos

A "glissando" is similar to a block chord, but instead of playing the notes all at once there is a very slight delay between each note. Think of it like drumming the fingers of your hand on a desk or table—your fingers don't all hit at once, but follow each other quite quickly.
