What Should I Feed My Puppy?

Puppies should be fed dry kibble food from the pet store; there are formulas specifically for young dogs aged a year or younger, and the daily serving sizes are listed on the side of the bags. You can also feed your dogs treats, like biscuits, meaty treats or dental treats. Beware of giving your puppy rawhide bones, or at least supervise your puppy when they have one, because they can oftentimes splinter. Also, though it may be tempting to feed your puppy scraps from the dinner table, resist this. That will cause your pet to “beg” at the table in the future and certain human foods—chocolate, grapes, mushrooms, onion, garlic, and many more can be very unhealthy, even lethal for dogs. Also, keep a fresh dish of water out constantly!
