Now insert the working tag end through the gap that has been created where the static tag end passes between the two sets of turns. Make sure that the working tag end points in the opposite direction to that of the static tag end.

To close the knot, grasp the tag ends in each hand between thumb and first finger. Each tag end should be on the same side as its corresponding standing end. By pulling the hands apart the knot will close up.
