You’ll need:

Wide medium-heavy or upholstery-weight linen. Measure the distance from the curtain rod to the floor, then take off approximately 15cm (6"). This is the length you need to cut per panel. To work out the number of panels, measure the length of the curtain rod and multiply this by 1.5. This is the minimum width. Err on the side of generosity, so if your calculations say you need 2.45 drops, just make 3 drops and revel in the extra folds.

Wide medium-heavy or upholstery-weight cotton velvet. This needs to be the same width or wider than the linen. Divide the linen length measurement in half to get the required velvet measurement. Trim off any excess width.
