Funk 1

Funk sometimes sounds a lot like rock, although the feel of the groove is different. Funk is typically focused on an on-beat/off-beat structure. Usually a greater emphasis is placed on the first beat of the bar and a solid backbeat is played on the snare (slap tone) hits.
