Distribution

The northern red muntjac is the most widespread muntjac species in Asia and is widely distributed from South Asia through northern Southeast Asia into southern China. Within the region of this guide, it is historically found in Guizhou and Yunnan Provinces, Guangxi AR, and southern Tibet AR, although the current distribution is unclear and probably reduced to a handful of areas.
