Sew the Circuit

Let’s get set up and sew the circuit.

Set Up

Set up one of your shorts’ legs in your embroidery hoop by sandwiching it between the two hoops (solid on the inside, adjustable on the outside). If your solid piece has a “grip lip,” make sure it is facing up. Begin tightening the knob on the outer ring and also pulling the fabric taut in the hoop until it feels secure. You may have to retighten the fabric during the course of embroidery.

Place your FLORA main board and single pixel on the taut fabric, and sketch out your pattern (or trace ours) with tailor’s chalk (see Figure 5-2).
