Board specifications

Just a couple of years ago the choice would be simple — a popular Raspberry Pi, but today it may not be the best choice, in fact you have about a dozen of competing boards on the market. Because we are discussing building solutions that are easy to re-create, I would suggest to be cautious with the one-off manufacturers that produce a limited line of boards for which there is limited community support and who have uncertain future.
