Ferrimax slug pellets are ferric phosphate-based, so are safe to wildlife.

Slug Nematodes

Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita nematodes were researched and developed by the Long Ashton Research Station in the 1990s, before being developed as a commercial product that gardeners and growers could use. This naturally occurring nematode is already present in some slugs, but not normally in enough numbers to kill the slug. Applying higher numbers, with a purchased pack of slug nematodes, is an effective method for controlling certain slug species and particularly those that attack plants underground, such as potatoes.
