Almond pollen by itself is not a good food for bees … Bees require a balanced diet and to get this almost always require more than one kind of pollen. In pollinating almonds (and other crops), so many bees are concentrated in a relatively small area that many hives will not have a chance to collect pollen from more than the orchard or orchard floor.
