Creating your own plants
Creating your own plants is pretty straightforward, though it may seem intimidating at first. It usually means you’ll be a little behind in harvesting than if you’d bought plants, but it’s a good way of starting cheaply, or extending what you grow.
Cuttings
Taking cuttings can feel a little hit and miss but it is by far the simplest and most widely applicable way of creating new plants from old. Cuttings are usually taken using either hardwood at the end of the season’s growth or soft new growth.
