This money wasn’t going to make itself, so after staying away from the club for two weeks due to Sakeem’s death, I finally found the courage to get my ass up this afternoon and go in to work. If Sakeem loved anything about me, he admired my hustle, and I know I needed to keep doing that just to make him smile. Losing my brother was like the biggest loss that a nigga had ever taken, but I couldn’t stop my life, though. I had another little brother here on this earth that I needed to continue helping to raise, and making sure that I stayed on top of him with football and with his grades. It was my dream to see both of my little brothers in the NFL but I’m able to accept the fact that Sakeem isn’t coming back, so now it’s even more important that Sion makes it. He has to do this shit for himself and his brother.

Shit with my mom wasn’t even the same anymore either. She had been calling me since I beat my dad’s ass after the funeral, but honestly, I was still hot about the decision that she chose to make, so I really didn’t have any words for her at the moment. Dreka was all in my ear, telling me how I needed to hear her out because life was too short, and how she would do anything to hold another conversation with her mother. I’m not going to lie, when she said that shit, she kind of opened my eyes, so I planned to swing by my mom’s house today if I made it up out of this club early enough.

Pulling up to the club, I parked my car in the owner’s parking spot and got out. Since I had that little meeting with my team a while back, I hadn’t gotten any more phone calls from Marcel or Jacoy letting me know that they were in here cutting up. They knew not to try me because that day was the only warning that I was dishing out, anything after that, and I was terminating their ass.

When I made it up to my office, I turned on my Mac to check my emails. I noticed that a few performer’s managers had gotten back to me, so it looked like it would be a full house for the rest of the week. Even though I loved the whole strip club business, the next club that I open up, I swear I want that shit to be much more different than this one is. I wanted that one to be strictly for the grown and sexy. Just a place where bad bitches and boss niggas such as myself frequent. It would be a little pricey with the admission, but I swear that shit would be worth it. I already had a location on Hollywood Beach where the club would be, but with all of the shit that had been going on in my life lately, I hadn’t had the time to even focus on opening another club.
