“Why am I all flaky and itchy?” Ren asked the next morning.

“Then I’d think I was still dreaming,” I growled as I threw back the covers. I gestured to my morning wood. “Come here, dream lover, and climb on.”

“Oh, well you must go run to Mark then, don’t you?” I could hear the anger in my voice and while I knew it wasn’t fair I couldn’t stop it. Ren narrowed his eyes at me and I found the color of them got darker when he was pissed.

“Thinking I’m worth getting jealous over because you value me is sexy, but constantly getting jealous when we just started and have no real commitment to each other than we’re going to see what’s here like you don’t trust me will get real old, real fast and drive a wedge between us, Gaven.” He stormed off into the bathroom and I let out a litany of cuss words. I jumped up after him and found him in the shower with his head hanging dejectedly.

“I’m an ass,” I whispered as I joined him. I took the soap from him and started washing him. “However, that man wants you. I get he’s your second but he wants you and to stop us because I threaten his turf, which means he threatens my position in your bed. So I promise to watch it better if you promise not to deny me sex because of him or leave me wanting after I offer myself to you like that to go to him.”

“Shit, I didn’t think of it like that,” he hissed and turned in my arms. He pulled my head down and kissed me thoroughly. “I’m not going to him, Gaven. The message was just from him because he’s my second. He was following up on the bears before we even left your pack yesterday. The message is he was letting me know that everyone’s assembling soon. I need to review the proof he’s collected and then we’re going in.”

“Okay. Next time I’ll let you finish your whole sentence then.” I gave him a quick kiss and kept washing his perfect, firm, athletic body as he did his hair. “But you’re still wearing my scent.”

“Is that why I was all itchy?” His eyes danced with mirth, probably having guessed already it was dried cum on him.
