Instructions

1. Make the FFHs. Following the instructions on here, make 120 background FFHs, 20 orange FFHs, and 22 dark teal FFHs (162 FFHs total).

2. Lay out the columns. Arrange the FFHs in alternating columns of 12 and 13, as shown in the Layout Diagram. Keep the lengthwise straight of grain for each base hexagon oriented the same way (here), and pin a label on each column to help keep yourself organized. Sew the FFHs in each column together, starting at the top of the column and working your way down (here). Continue until you have 13 columns.

3. Join the columns. Sew column 2 to column 1 using your selected joining stitch. Note that column 1 is below column 2. Then attach column 3 to column 2. Next, sew columns 4 and 5 together, and continue to sew adjacent pairs together (6/ 7, 8/ 9, 10/ 11, 12/ 13).

Working from left to right, join all units together.
