6 Carefully turn the whole bag right sides out through the gap in the lining seam. When the bag is turned through, push the lining back down into the bag, as shown. Push the lining corners down into the corners of the bag, making sure they are well turned out. Slipstitch the lining gap closed.

7 Thread the rat’s tail cord through both channels from left to right and back again. Thread both ends through a spring toggle before knotting the ends. Alternatively, use two lengths of cord and thread the second from right to left. Finish the end of the cord with a padded bobble over the knot, cutting a 3½in (8.9cm) circle and following the instructions for the Eclipse Evening Bag (step 13, page 44).
