Although I already have the commentaries of the Pisan [Burgundius of Pisa] I still have more than a hundred severe queries on Galen’s explanations according to this translation, while the ones made by Constantine [the African] are totally corrupted. Perhaps the wise speculations of our teacher [Maimonides] will solve the burden of these questions, which is why my soul desires them so much. Further on I beg you for the 25 comments of our teacher to Galen’s work. Therefore brother, do not neglect me and do not care about the cost, and make a scribe copy them, and send them with R. Daniel and I shall immediately send you the scribe’s salary and [the price] of the paper and the corrections, as much as demanded. Even if it turns out to be a substantial expenditure it will become smaller [in my mind] when considering how much I love them [the books], since it is for many years that I heard about these compendium to Galen made by our teacher, and I have always desired it.
