Next, I filled in the details with a heavier ink load. I used a split brush for darker areas of lesser importance, like her hair, letting the bristles do much of the job (as opposed to manually drawing each strand of hair with a separate stroke). Then I rolled the brush to a point so that I could zero in on details and features with more precision.
