Chapter 12

Draven had wanted to ease her into it, love her like she deserved. Hell, she had been through so much already. Instead, her legs wrapped his waist with his erection buried to the hilt, while standing in the middle of a very crappy bedroom. Not a place he normally would think to lay his head, let alone fuck someone. His white, pristine apartment came to mind. This dusty old cabin was anything but clean. It could certainly use a hand from his cleaning lady.

We’re not in Kansas anymore.

He wasn’t sure why the old Wizard of Oz quote came to mind, but they were a long shot from home. Instead of off to see the wizard, they would soon be visiting someone more sadistic, someone with little regard for human life, someone responsible for thousands of deaths, either directly or indirectly. Draven hoped Brea succeeded in her desire to wipe Raúl’s sorry ass from the planet. Draven would gladly aid her in her quest.

Her heels dug into his ass as she rocked on his erection, thankfully shutting out his troubling thoughts. The only thing that should matter at the moment was the sexy as hell woman arching beautifully before him, her small breasts but scant inches from his lips. He had never had a shortage of women, being the owner of a nightclub, but none of them compared to the woman now in his arms.

Brea tightened her grip on his hair. “Where the hell did you go, barkeep?”

Draven growled. “Wishing I wasn’t about to toss you on a filthy mattress.”

“There’s a shower about fifteen feet behind us.” Her smile widened, giving him a good view of her very white, very sharp fangs. “We can make use of that later.”

With his palms cupping her smooth ass, he walked them to the nearest wall, using the wooden surface to drive himself deeper, not yet ready to make use of the bed.

Brea moaned.

Her breath hitched.

Nearly pulling out, Draven grit his teeth before slamming back into her, her walls tightening around him like a snug fist. Brea’s back rode up the pine as Draven fucked her, giving Brea what she had asked for—hard. His blood pulsed through his ears. His balls tightened. The wooden paneling groaned beneath the pressure of his thrusts.

She leaned forward, licking the long column of his neck, her lips a hairbreadth from his carotid. Damn, if he didn’t think about her sinking those razor-sharp fangs into him, almost wishing she would, adding to the already hot fucking sex. He was but a bite away from her blowing his mind.

Draven tried his damnedest to hold off his climax, knowing he was mere moments away. If she chose to sink her fangs, it would be all over. No two ways about it, she’d have a new term of endearment for him other than barkeep. Somehow, minute man didn’t have quite the same effect.

He needed to stay focused, needed her all in if he were to catch her off guard. A shiver ran down his spine.
