8) Looking at Diet, Other Energy Clearing and Sacred Sexuality.

This body experience is very valuable and we have to treat it (and ourselves) as such. You may have tried supplements or other modalities of healing and I want to dive briefly into that in this section, even if it is a review for you. This may be different for everyone as everyone’s bodies have different needs (you might need more protein than the next person or more carbs than the other person, etc.) I’m also not here to condemn or judge any diet but just give general guidelines for what is a general best practice. You can feel free to consult a nutritionist if you need to. Re-immersion in the body experience is going to be a process that might require a different kind of awareness to actually experience a shift again back to our wonderful native state of being and perceiving our reality. If we have burnt out adrenals or our brain chemistry is out of balance (or if you were like me and trying to handle all this overload of energy and ideas in a way my body couldn’t handle) Then this is the section of the book where we get into some practical advice and suggestions for getting your body’s energy systems clean, detoxified, rebalanced and re-stabilized and re-nourished, which will deeply help you in your perception and reality re-immersion. I have a list of foods in the Don’t workshet of this book I suggest avoiding, and a list of foods and practices that I suggest so I will give a brief overview of them right now.

After battling an eating disorder through middle school and highschool, I became very interested in holistic nutrition and finding foods that made my body feel good and gave me energy and were easy on my digestive system and just general wellbeing. I found that when I started implementing the foods I am going to describe below, any anxiety or underlying depression that I had that was related to DPDR started to lift, and I made massive leaps in my ability to come back to reality. I will list further resources at the end of this book, and respectable select experts who are much more into these topics, but this is a gist of what has worked for me and what will be beneficial to you. Also there is a section in the back for women and for men’s health- although it’s not too varied. If you are a woman with DPDR, there are some foods that will especially nurture and nourish you through your stress levels and help with any painful menstruation or reproductive disorders- as our diet is actually directly tied to those sorts of problems, and I list a small section in the back for that. For men, I recommend a similar basic diet, although your reproductive and energetic needs might differ slightly and I encourage you to learn more from a nutritionist, naturopath or other general practitioner.
