Method 2: Two-Column Notes

Another place to take notes is on a sheet of paper with two columns. Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. In the left-hand column, put your questions or subtopics. On the right-hand side, take notes on supporting details. You can use a separate sheet of paper for each question or subtopic.

Method 3: Graphic Organizers

You can also arrange your notes visually into graphic organizers. You did this earlier with your report questions on page 20 of Chapter 3. Another type of graphic organizer is a web. It extends out from the main point in the center, like a spider web.
