APPLY FINISHING TOUCHES

1. Install a Shaker peg on each side of the shelf unit for a handy place to hang your bows. The ones shown on page 119 were placed in the middle of the shelf, 10” down from the top. However, they can be placed in any location you desire.

2. Using wood glue, attach an arrow shaft (L) on the front surface of the top trim (E) centered between the two side trim pieces (G).

3. Using wood glue, attach an arrowhead (M) on one end of the shaft.

4. If the arrow vane-shaped pieces (N) were purchased at an arts and crafts store or online, cut approximately 1/4” off the triangular end. Using wood glue, attach an arrow vane (N) on the other end of the shaft.

5. Repeat Steps 2-4 for the middle trim (I).

6. Set all the finish nails with a nail set.

7. Fill all visible holes with wood putty.

8. Sand the entire surface using a sander.

9. Stain, lacquer, varnish, or paint the bookcase as desired.
