Sew just to left of serging for widest possible leg.
6. At the hip and hem of each side, merge the new seam with the original seam you left in. Create a smooth, straight line to prevent a bubble or pucker on the outside. C
Smoothly blend new stitching with old seam allowance at hips and hem.
7. Once you’ve re-created the seams on both sides, turn the jeans right side out and spray with water. Press the seam on the highest setting available for the fabric content, being aware of the direction the seam allowance is facing (you may need to press it to the side with the jeans inside out first). Some jeans may show a line from the original seam, but this will become less noticeable with wear and washing, if pressing with water doesn’t take it away completely.
