Strategic Network

The strategic network, which is located in the front of the brain is involved in directing our purposeful motor responses. It deals with the how of learning. This network helps learners plan and organize, and then purposefully act on those plans. This network incorporates both the internal mental processes and the connected motor actions and skills. For example, as students approach the writing of an essay, the strategic network directs both the organization and sequence of their ideas, as well as their hands as they type or write down their thoughts. Learners may need a variety of support to successfully plan and execute tasks that require a certain sequence, structure, or steps, such as essay writing, problem solving, and project planning.
