ASSEMBLE THE POCKET UNIT

1. Sew the 3½˝ × 8˝ side border pieces to the right and left of the 7½˝ × 8˝ print 1 piece. Sew the 3¾˝ × 13½˝ top border piece on top. Fig. B

2. Sew the 8˝ × 9˝ print 3 piece and the linen appliqué pieces together along the top edge. Fold with the wrong sides together and press. Fig. C

3. Place the linen pocket on the main unit at an angle, as shown, with the stitched illustration at least ½˝ above the lower edge. Use a ruler and fabric marker to draw the cutting lines, extending the sides of the pocket up onto the background. Fig. D
