When you deny the Word of God, you lose the Spirit of God, and when you lose the Spirit of God, you lose the power of God. That is how Satan effectively disarmed the Church in America. We have lost the sword of the Spirit, “which is the word of God” (Eph. 6:17).

The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

If you want to have victory against your most powerful adversary, you had better have confidence in your weaponry. And many are no longer going into war with their greatest weapon. Because we laid down the sword, the Church is now powerless to impact society morally or spiritually. Since we no longer believe in the authority of Scripture, who’s to say who’s right and who’s wrong, what is right and what is wrong? So we sink deeper into Satan’s snare of moral relativism. It is spiritual and moral anarchy. What is true of society may be just as true of your life personally. Satan wants to lead you into bondage and slavery.

We have an entire generation, most of whom claim to be Christian, but deny the authority of Scripture and thereby deny any moral or spiritual absolutes. We cannot agree on something as fundamental and simple as the definition of marriage. Hsssssssss…. “Has God really said what a marriage is…?” Hsssssssss… In Matthew 19:4-5, Jesus defined marriage as between a man and a woman. Yet whole “Christian” denominations within the American “Church” have abandoned something as simple as the definition of marriage and the most basic issues of morality in human sexuality.

When you abandon the Bible as God’s moral authority, it eventually leads to moral anarchy.
