Instructions:

Using an electric wood sander, sand the edges of your wooden crates. This will this make the finished products look pleasing. It is also a safe option when you have toddlers or kids running around your home. You definitely don’t want any sharp corners that may cause injuries.

Stain or paint your wood crates using a foam brush or a paint brush. For more control, you can choose to use a towel or a rag. Put at least two coats. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
