An intervention to promote social engagement thus proves to be somewhat more effective than the previous interventions because it induces at least one consequential improvement, namely, for Descriptor E (social integration). A look at the cross-impact matrix in Fig. 5.12 makes this result understandable enough: Descriptor D is by far the strongest influence on Descriptor E, stronger than all the other influences combined.
