Chapter 3 – It’s in the Little Things
Beauty in The Best Dreamcatcher
You will need:
1 ball of yarn or string in each of the colors you wish to use
Beads
Paper feathers
Frame for the catcher to rest on
Crochet hook
Needle and yarn needle
Extra lengths of string or strips of leather for the tail (in colors of your choice)
Directions for the body:
Take 5 long lengths of string and hold them together. You are going to wrap them around the frame at the top, one on both sides. Go downward and outward toward the bottom, forming the bottom of the star.
Wrap around the bottom of the frame, then cross sideways across each other to form the sides of the star.
When you get to the frame once more, tie off.
To assemble:
You already have the body assembled, so you really only need to worry about the bottom of the catcher.
You are going to take lengths of string, yarn, or leather, and feed these through the bottom section of the catcher. Use the photo as a reference, or use your own creativity to put these in place.
Trim to the length you want, then add on the beads and feathers. Beads can be slid on then tied with a simple knot at the bottom, feathers are better glued on.
