You will need:

Wax paper.

A reclosable plastic bag.

Salt clay.

Cookie cutters.

Acrylic paint.

Paintbrush.

Flour (optional).

Skewer.

Baking sheet covered with parchment paper.

Ribbon or string.

Paraffin wax.

Large empty metal can, washed.

Electric skillet with high sides or a saucepan.

Christmas tree ornament hooks.

More wax paper and something to hang the ornament from to dry.

Put some salt clay in the re-closeable plastic bag. Add a few drops of red or pink acrylic paint, close the bag and squish it around in your hands, mixing the paint into the clay. If the clay starts to get too soft, add quarter-teaspoonfuls of flour at a time until it becomes more firm. Add enough paint to saturate the clay and give it a vibrant color.
