2. Smooth out the joins to form a whole figure. Use your fingertips to create small indentations all over the figure to make it look a little “fluffy.” Press the figure gently but firmly onto your work surface to create a flat, stable base.

3. Take the three pinches of light tan clay you set aside, and shape them into a small ball for the tail and two elongated shapes for the ears. For the inner ear, divide your tan clay into two equal-size pieces and shape them slightly smaller than the ears. Press the inner-ear shapes onto the main ear shapes. Gently press the two eye pin shafts into the head of the llama where you want the ears to go, and then affix the ears to the head by sliding them over the eye pins and pressing them firmly into the head.
