Supplies for Drying Paper
After the sheets are molded and pulled from the water vat, they then have to be couched and dried. Couching (rhymes with “pooching”) is the process of removing water from wet paper sheets after they are removed from the mold. After the sheets have been couched they are then left to dry thoroughly. There are several options you can choose for the final drying of your handmade paper sheets.
