Smokey Bacon Bourbon Topping

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Servings: 4 persons

Ingredients

½ teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

2 thick slices of bacon; very finely dice

¼ teaspoon chipotle Chile powder

2 drops liquid smoke

½ cup onion, finely diced

2 tablespoon tomato paste

¼ teaspoon apple cider vinegar

A pinch of salt

¼ cup bourbon

Directions

Add the bacon pieces to a dry skillet or frying pan and cook over medium heat; render the fat out and continue to cook until turn crispy.

Add the onions, chipotle powder, and liquid smoke to the leftover bacon & fat in the pan. Decrease the heat to medium low & let the onions stew for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the bourbon, tomato paste, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce & salt. Let simmer for a minute.

Move the contents of the pan to a blender & puree.

Serve with steak, on a burger or on any dishes.
