“Oh no! Is someone calling my name again?” Cooee muttered after waking up with a start. Then he saw Farmer Joe. He trotted over and stuck his head over the fence for a tickle.

“Would you like to go to the beach today? You deserve a holiday for saving all those people. I know about the toddler, yesterday. You are a clever, brave pony,” Farmer Joe said, as he patted Cooee on the nose.

“Yes please! When can we go?” Cooee had a big smile on his face.

Cooee stomped and trotted around, kicking up his heels, excited as could be. Farmer Joe attached the trailer to the truck, and Cooee charged up the ramp. They whizzed along the coastal highway. Cooee loved the cool sea breeze in his face, blowing his mane.

I can’t wait to run in the surf and jump the waves, Cooee thought when he saw the large expanse of blue ocean, white frothy waves, and white sandy beach. As soon as Farmer Joe opened the trailer gate, Cooee jumped out and galloped onto the deserted beach.
