“Enough!” Akaos yelled and scooped her up into his arms. Warden took her pants out of her hands. They sat on the edge of the bed and dressed her. “There was nothing we could do and I didn’t know this would happen. It’s never happened before.” Akaos explained as he placed her in front of them. “We couldn’t move, Maya.”

He fastened her pants. “I swear, Maya if we could have intervened, I would have.”Akaos tensed and relaxed when his father and younger brother appeared in the room.

“What happened? No one could move out there. I know the Tetraheros, but I’ve never known them to thrust their power at us like they just did.” His father frowned and sat down in front of them again.

His brother paced back and forth. “Mother and the others are trying to reassure her sisters, but I’m afraid she might need to come out there and calm them. Something happened to them, too.”

There was no holding his bonded back. She was out the door before anyone could do anything. He shook his head and followed her with Warden in front of him they made their way through his family. His brother and father followed behind them as they stepped into the main area of the plane.

Two of the women were now in their cat form pacing back and forth. Maya sat down on the floor and waited. No one said a word, but Akaos wanted to step in front of her. One wrong move and he knew the cats could kill her, but they would stop them before he allowed that to happen. Warden stepped forward to grab her, but Akaos latched onto his arm and shook his head.

“One scratch, Maya, and I will not only spank your ass, but I will lock your sisters up till they have calmed down.” He knelt down on the floor beside her and took control of both sisters.

“You will shift now so we can talk. You are not the only ones this has happened to. Do you see the others panicking?” he ordered.

Maya’s hand gripped his arm. “Akaos please, let me handle this.”

Both women shifted and glared at him as they went into the arms of the other sisters. “I’m sorry all of you have been frightened. We were not aware that the Tetraheros were going to do what they did.”

He helped Maya up. She stared at him and then at Warden. “What did they do to us? What is the Cometedge Pact?”

Stepping forward, his father smiled at the women. “Please sit and we’ll try and explain. Again we’re sorry this has happened to you. We were not warned or allowed to interfere.”

Lifting Maya into his arms, Akaos took a seat in the front facing the woman with Warden at their side. His brothers stood behind them, while his mother held the one woman, Eden, in her arms.

His father leaned against one of the chairs and sighed. “The Tetraheros are a race far superior to any we know of.
