Pick and choose

The winter garden contains many evergreen plants that can be used as indoor decorations. Here I used some sprigs of rosemary to add a finishing touch to my dogwood wreath. Yellow willow (Salix) stems make a good alternative to dogwood and will look just as striking with the eucalpytus leaves.

Silver wreath centerpiece

For this centerpiece I used a ready-made wreath and decorated it with a selection of silver-sprayed pinecones and white hydrangea flowers. Filled with chunky pillar candles, this decorative wreath makes a stunning centerpiece for any festive dining table.

Materials

scissors

1 white artificial hydrangea flowerhead

medium and small natural pinecones (approx. 10 medium cones and enough small cones to fit around the base of the wreath)

silver spray paint

shallow box (such as an old shoe box)

ready-made silver or white door wreath base

hot glue gun (or strong all-purpose glue)

3 pillar candles
