Busy.

The guys are all in a very good mood today because they have their stunt driving class. I’m so glad they’re in that class. They seem to enjoy it a lot.

Meanwhile, I’m over here, having to take normal driving classes because Zach thinks I’m a bad driver.

Well, technically, I haven’t had any driving lessons, yet. I think I’m going to have them on the weekends, which is fine with me.

At lunch, the guys are talking excitedly about some stunt they get to learn today. I’m excited for them, and also a little jealous that they all get to hang out. I feel like I never get to hang out with all five of them anymore, because we’re always so busy.

“Zara, what’s wrong?” Stefan asks.

The other guys aren’t paying attention at the moment. They’re all having their own conversations. I am content to just listen. Of course, Stefan is the one to notice I’m a little sad. He always seems to notice little things.

“I just miss hanging out with all you guys together,” I say. “I feel like I’m constantly being passed back and forth between you guys and we never get to hang out as a group.”

“I’m sorry,” he says. “We just all have so much going on right now.”

“I know,” I say, then sigh. “It’s nobody’s fault. I just... well, I kind of wish we were back in Tokyo, hanging out in one hotel room.”

Stefan grins. “Ah, well... I don’t think Zach liked it very much when you were alone with all of us.”

“Zach went from not being a parent to being the parent of a teenaged girl,” I say. “He just needs time to adjust. He seems a lot more relaxed about you guys now. I mean, he lets you guys stay the night, now.”

“He made sure we knew that if we put one foot in your bedroom we would know what real torture training is,” he says.

My face grows warm.

Oh, my gosh.

I am going to have a talk with Zach next time I see him. It’s not okay to threaten my friends. More than my friends—they’re my team. I trust them with my life.

“Guys,” Stefan says, getting everybody’s attention. “Zara wants to know if we can all hangout this weekend.”

Thanks, Stefan.

Now everybody is looking at me.

“We’re working with Zach on Saturday,” Cam says.

“I’ll be with you on Saturday,” Tristan says.

“Tell them what you told me,” Stefan says.

Way to put me on the spot.

Why am I so bad at just telling them what I want?

“I feel like we never get to all hang out together, unless we’re at school,” I say. “I just miss hanging out.”

“We’ll make it work,” Austin says, looking at Cam.

Cam nods. “We’ll make sure we’re back early enough on Saturday night to hang out. All of us. We’ll have pizza and watch a movie or something.”

“Maybe something besides pizza,” I say.

We have pizza every night it seems like. Even Zach eats pizza a lot.

I wish I knew how to cook. Maybe I should learn. It can’t be that hard.
