In the downstairs toilet, I cleaned myself up and disposed of the condom. He still had my hair tie, so I couldn’t put my hair back into a ponytail. Damn. I hated it flowing free. I donned the jeans and went back upstairs. Taylor had disappeared somewhere, and the living room was empty.

I’d been vaguely aware of the large photographs on the wall when I’d arrived, but now the full impact hit me. I went over to get a better look.

The one nearest the bookcase was of two naked men holding each other as they kissed. Both were well muscled and had multiple tattoos, yet the tenderness of their embrace was obvious. In the bottom right-hand corner was a large, flamboyant signature. The cross of the T went the whole length of the word, dwarfing the letters underneath. I’d seen the signature before.
