“Let’s see another!” Sally said excitedly.

“Okay. This one I call Floating Cards!” Eugene said in his most dramatic magic voice, and pulled out five playing cards. “Watch in amazement and wonder as I make these ordinary playing cards float in the air!”

Eugene placed the five cards in his palm and secretly held on to a hidden flap attached to one of them. Holding the flap would make all the cards stick to his hand and look like they were floating.

“Now I’ll say the magic words. Super Duper Looper Dude. And look! The cards float!” Eugene turned his palm over.

FLOP!

All the cards immediately fell to the table.

Eugene sighed. “Maybe I should just give up on magic,” he said, shaking his head.
