Facial Detection with OpenCV

Developed by Xavier Hinault, javacvPro is based on the JavaCV wrappers by Samuel Audet, which allow access to the OpenCV library. We’ll be using javacvPro in this example to detect a face and draw a circle, actually a target, around said detected face.

Let’s start with the GSVideo example and add onto the sketch from there. Open the example sketch for your platform, and make sure that you have the camera set up how you like it. The example will assume a 640 × 480 window and video, but you may need to adjust your layout to meet the requirements of your webcam. Just remember to change your settings accordingly.

Like normal, let’s import some libraries and set a few variables.
