Former owner of Caritas, the demon-friendly karaoke bar where he could read the destiny of anyone who sang for him. A demon from Pylea with green skin, red eyes, and regenerating red horns, Lorne likes flashy suits, Sea Breezes, and singing (AtS “Judgment”). He arrived in LA through the same portal that Fred was sucked through, and he never looked back. The lack of music and art were the main reasons he never missed Pylea, though he went back with Angel and gang to rescue Cordelia and say goodbye to his family (AtS “There’s No Place like Plrtz Glrb”). He didn’t think of himself as a magician; he just helped people find their path. Time and again he tried to help Angel and the others, whether bringing them help or tracking down information, and he usually received harsh treatment because of his association with the gang: Lorne was frequently beat up, knocked out, tortured, and mutilated. (And sometimes he was just hungover from the required ritual drinking.) While he occasionally sat out encounters he didn’t feel he could handle—such as bringing Angelus forth (AtS “Calvary”)—and was sometimes wrong, he was loyal to Angel until the end.

In the final battle, Lorne was willing to do the wet work Angel asked of him—killing Lindsey—but as he explained to Angel, that was it, he was done, and don’t look for him (AtS “Not Fade Away”). After Los Angeles was sent to hell, Lorne assumed leadership of Silverlake and made it a heaven in the middle of hell. He rejoined Angel Investigations and became the chosen ruler of all Los Angeles. When time was reset, he had to reinvent himself once more, and is still figuring out what to do with his life (Angel “After the Fall”).

LORNE’S MOTHER (LIFE-GIVER AND MOTHER OF THE VILE EXCREMENT) | TOM MCCLEISTER | A cruel parent who ripped Lorne’s images into tiny pieces, fed them to the swine, then butchered the pigs and had their remains scattered for the dogs (AtS “Belonging”). She spit in Lorne’s face when she saw him during his return to Pylea, claiming that “Each morning before I feed I go out into the hills where the ground is thorny and parched, beat my breast and curse the loins that gave birth to such a cretinous boy-child” (AtS “Through the Looking Glass”). She was dismayed to learn that her son helped free the slaves and now she has to do her own work (AtS “There’s No Place like Plrtz Glrb”).

LOROPHAGE DEMON | Demon who overwhelmed Rupert Giles’s Watcher Academy class when they were sent to kill the Highgate Vampire in 1972. Years later, Drusilla used the Lorophage to suck out the negative emotions of her followers. Faith succumbed to the Lorophage but Angel stopped the draining, which would have made her insane (Angel and Faith “Daddy Issues”).

LOS HERMANOS NUMEROS | Five luchadores, Mexican wrestlers, and demon fighters, who were also brothers. Four died fifty years ago and are mourned by their brother Cinco. They
