In the aftermath, Law lay in Styx’s arms, unwilling and unable to move. His face was buried against Styx’s shoulder, inhaling the smell of the man he’d missed for so long.

Finally, it was right between them, but at some point, Paulo had moved from the bed. Neither man had seen him go.

“Want me to call Paulo in here?” Styx asked and Law nodded, his hands still tight around Styx as if he’d leave again if Law let go. “I’m not going anywhere.”

“Making sure.”

He heard Styx call for Paulo, heard the younger man pad in and lie on the bed with them. Styx pulled him in close and the three of them lay there together.

“You all right?” Law asked Paulo when he finally lifted his head.

“Yeah, I’m good. Just wanted to give you your space.”

“You weren’t in the way at all.” The fierceness in Styx’s voice surprised them all. “I’m the third wheel here.”

“I want both of you, dammit,” Law said. “And you want each other. So cut the shit and stop ruining my afterglow.”

That broke the tension for a few minutes, and Styx pulled Paulo even closer. For the first time in a long time, Law thought he might actually have an unbroken sleep.
