MAKING UP

Sewing the body and ears closed and hiding ends

Thread the tapestry needle with the long-tail end and weave it under the back loops of the stitches of the final round. Gently pull and like magic the hole is closed. Now secure the thread by making a little knot (weave the needle under a stitch and then through the loop you’ve just made). All that’s left to do is hide that yarn- tail, so poke your needle into the bear and out through the other side. Pull the yarn taut, and carefully snip it away, as close to the bear as you dare! The end will retract slightly and disappear back inside the body part.
