PROJECT 7: A Brick Wall

Unlike stone walls that usually feature irregularly shaped stones, brick walls are laid in regular patterns or bonds. There are many different bonds, some of which are better suited for particular applications. Before looking at several of the more widely used bonds, it’s probably useful to be aware of some terminology relating to the bricks themselves, namely that the longest side of a brick is known as the ‘stretcher’, and the shortest side is the ‘header’.
