Wuthering Heights

This is how the farm at Top Withens originally stood proud on the moor. Now revisit the ruin on the previous page, for they are one and the same. Age not only diminishes our human body but also our man-made memorials until there is nothing to remember us by. The exposed landscape is notorious for its fierce wind, hence the name Withens, meaning wind.

Out of the Darkness and into the Light

I have always looked for the light in the landscape for it gives you hope and colour, sharpening the painting, light takes you into the painting. Here the dark passing storm casts its shadow over the wall and across the landscape.

I find hope in the darkest of days,

and focus in the brightest.
