Chapter 7

“I thought you said no clothes,” she teased him as she pulled the soft blue and white cashmere sweater over her head. It was their second day at the cabin and Sophia had woken up to the appetizing smell of bacon and eggs. She had pulled on a robe over her nakedness (Christopher had ordered a no sleeping in clothes edict!) and padded downstairs towards the kitchen.

His back was to her and she noticed he was wearing low fitting lounge pants and no shirt. She came up behind him and slid her arms around his waist resting her head against his back and marveling that this wonderfully gorgeous man was her husband. “The smell of breakfast woke me up,” she murmured as he turned around to face her.

“You ruined the surprise,” he rebuked her, lifting her chin to kiss her lips. ”I was planning to serve you breakfast in bed.”

“Want me to go back to bed and you bring it up?” she asked him, impishly bringing her arms up to wrap around his neck.

“I would love that very much.” She gave a squeal of surprise as he swung her up into his arms and strode with her back upstairs.

“I could stay right in the kitchen with you,” she protested when he placed her gently on the bed.

“Then it would not be a treat now would it?” he asked her huskily, bending to take her lips in a slow sensual kiss that fired up her adrenalin and had her clinging to him.

Her hands curled on his chest as she arched closer to him. He pulled open the robe and felt her breasts, his mouth going down to her already hard nipples, his tongue reaching out to touch and taste. It boggled his mind that the more he had her, the more he wanted her. He was drunk on her and he could not get enough.

He dragged his mouth away from her and stepped away, his breathing harsh and his erection evident in the pants he was wearing. “I can’t get enough you,” he told her raggedly, his eyes hooded as he stared at her body revealed by the half opened robe and her face flushed from their moments of passion. Without another word he spun on his heel and left the room.

Sophia pulled the robe around her, her body still shaking in the aftermath of his mouth on hers.

He came back up half an hour later bearing a tray with legs that he put on the bed in front of her. There were scrambled eggs and bacon; bread lightly toasted with steaming cups of coffee and two glasses of orange juice.

“This looks and smells heavenly!” Sophia said sniffing the meal. “Are you okay?” she asked him searching his face. At times she had no idea what he was thinking.

“Sometimes it confuses me the hold you have over me,” he told her climbing on the bed beside her. “It takes some getting used to that’s all. Eat.” He took a slice of bread and lightly spread butter over it, passing it to her.
