8 appears in all multiples of 2, 4 and 8. So, it is a common multiple.

As a result, the LCM of 2, 4 and 8 is 8.

Both multiples of 5 and 10 contain 10.

Thus, 10 is the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) of 5 and 10.

In examples a-1, b-1, c-1 and d-1 the numerator (top number) and denominator (bottom number) of each fraction can be any number!

But, for ease of understanding and simplicity, small numbers are used.
