STEP 4: Starting at the center and working outward toward the edges of the panel, burnish the backside of the copy paper using a plastic burnish tool or a small piece of stiff cardboard. Be sure to push out any air bubbles that may have formed.

STEP 5: Wait about 30 minutes and then peel back one corner of the copy paper slightly to see if the image has transferred. If not, try burnishing more. Once it appears that the transfer has been successful, begin to peel back as much paper as you can.

STEP 6: To remove the remaining paper, rub the surface with the tips of your fingers. The paper should come off fairly easily, leaving the carbon toner embedded in the matte medium on the surface of the panel. If needed, use a spray bottle to wet the paper slightly and help loosen it.
