“I can’t believe I scored five goals,” Sam says. “That’s got to be a record.”

“Four were for the other team,” I remind her. “Aaron Crabtree’s team.” We walk down the hallway toward our bedrooms.

“It’s really quiet,” Sam says. “That’s a good sign.” She pushes open the door.

A tornado named Peanut has hit my room.

There’s a hole in the bed. The blankets are shredded. He has knocked everything off of everything. He has chewed the furniture.

Peanut is asleep in the middle of a pile of clothes. Destroying an entire room must be tiring. I grab something orange. It’s a sleeve without the rest of the shirt.

“What a disaster,” Sam says. “I’m glad we didn’t leave him in my room.”

“Your room always looks like this.” Then my heart gets really fast. Where’s my cat?

“Saurus!” I yell.

Meow. The sound comes from above my head. Saurus is lying on the curtain rod.

“How did she get up there?” Sam asks.
