With great care and affectionate interest, take note of the physical, mental, and emotional cues that indicate you may be guarding or bracing against the present moment: lethargy, agitation, tension, resistance, or zoning out are some examples.
Use the instructions of lovingly holding your fist to represent your knowledge of the protective layers as well as your acceptance and love of yourself.
Now recall moments in your life when you felt a sense of loving relaxed alivenessâmaybe relaxing on vacation or spending time with someone who is very dear to you.
As you think about these experiences, take note of the physical, mental, and emotional sensations of feeling open and at ease.
Soften the muscles of the belly and your jaw to let your body know that it is safe to just be as you are.
Really soak in the felt experience of allowing. This increases your capacity to recognize your precious inner being.
At least three times a day, pause and check in with yourself to see if you can make contact with any ways in which you are guarding against the present moment. Acknowledge, allow, and let the felt experience of one full, nurturing breath invite you into your loving radiance.
